Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir Trust was founded by Late Karmaveer Bhausaheb Hiray in the year 1952. It was founded with the motto of “Bahujan Hitay, Bahujan Sukhay”, with the vision of providing education not only to tribal students but to the society at large. The institution has been registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 and Bombay Public Trust Act 1952. Since 1952, MGV has endeavoured of providing quality education and nurturing Morales and inculcating ethical values within students by developing them as better citizens for tomorrow.

Statement About Popular Activity
The college has very active N.S.S. Unit of 150 volunteers. The NSS unit of the college contributes to promote the outreach programmes at the society. The NSS works at Regular Activates and Special Camping level.

The sports are the thrust area of the college. The college has appointed a fulltime Physical Director. The majority of the students of the college aspire to join armed force, police and security. Hence, the college provides the facilities to attain their goals.
